Alright...where were we?
Oh! The park, that's right. =o)
Taylor is trying to be one of the kid statues. =D Silly girl.
The girls posing by a HUGE bronze horse statue. =D
Now please note, hubby is watching the girls, since he was the one that put Cloie on the horse. There is this tiny sign by his feet. We will get to the sign in a few minutes. Just keep this picture in the back of your mind for a moment. K?
After Cloie decided to get down, the girls wanted to take another picture at the other end of the horse statue.
Okay, so remember the picture of the hubby standing there looking at the girls? This was the sign in front of the hubby earlier. OPPS! =oD
Off to play with the other statues in the park, far away from the horse one as we can. ;o)
Taylor made a new friend. =oD
HEY!!!!!! No kissing boys until you're 20, Taylor! You don't even know this boy's name. ;o)
Batter up! =D
Then it was a short visit to the Lundington State Park. Tay ready to climb this big sand hill. =D
"I'm coming, Tay!"
Hubby: "No really, you are not going any where."
Cloie" "What?! Oh."
Taylor at the top of the sand hill, all proud.
Hi! Grandma Shari! She was smart and was going to walk around the sand hill on flat sandy ground.
From where we were, all you could see was sand, sand, and more sand hills.
Beautiful Lake Michigan! =D
Grandma Shari made it 1/2 way to the lake and all the way around the sand hill hubby, Taylor, Cloie, and I were on. Hubby and Cloie went down the hill. Hubby carried Cloie down the hill because the sun had made the sand on this side SUPER HOT!
After hubby and Cloie made it down the sand hill, I ran down as fast as I could. Taylor tried to walk where the grass was but they were hurting her feet, so she decided she didn't have a choice but to run down the sand hill as fast as she could.
Screaming at the top of her lungs the WHOLE WAY down.......
I honestly never seen her run so fast.
She ran past me, hubby, Cloie, and grandma Shari, all the way to the lake. You can see her in the picture below as we made it the rest of the way to the lake. She is the tiny person by the lake.
Ahh.... COLD water! =D
All better. =D
Family pictures by Lake Michigan. Cheese! =D
Then we saved two butterflies who got wet in the waves.
Hubby being a meanie butt trying to push me into the water. =p
Girls waiting for the butterfly's wings to dry.
Hubby and Cloie watching the butterfly fly away. =D
Cloie fell into the water, getting completely soaked!
And then she tried to get her hair wet but fell face first into the sandy water really soaked now and very upset!
On our way back, hubby decided he was the king of the sand hill. =D
(Note: He has on a new shirt he got for his birthday from the girls.) ;o)
Then 7pm came and we left the State Park and headed over to another park. Taylor again was running like crazy. Run, Taylor, RUN! =D Look at her go!
We watched the Badger come in. It is a ferry boat that takes people, cars, and RV's over to Wisconsin. =D Pretty neat. That boat was super huge and made the other boats in the channel look tiny!
Checking to see if they could see fish.
Cloie was trying to run just like Taylor but her skirt was a little big, so she was holding it. She was running and then.....
.... she fell on the sidewalk skinning her knees pretty bad. =(
She was a trooper though.
We also did go-kart racing at two different locations. Cloie and hubby won the first time. Then grandpa Gary beat hubby and I the second time while the girls and grandma Shari played the games inside. Oh and we hit every garage sale we could to, from, and in Lundington! HA!
LOTS AND LOTS of fun!
I got sick Sunday morning, blacked out a little. UGH and still am recovering......very slowly. BUT despite getting sick, Lundington was a blast and I'm super thankful I got the chance to camp with my in-laws. They are the best! =D
Can't wait to do it again soon! =O)
