A wedding in the air?

They were driving up North to Traverse City, one of Heather’s favorite places to be. They were spending the weekend up there, no plans, just winging it – only the two of them. It seemed a little weird that everyone wasn’t going to be around to join them. Savanna had to work, Homecoming was that weekend. Brian too had to work and Mary and Nick scheduled appointments all weekend to look at halls.
Mary firmly believed that the hall was the most important thing about a wedding. It could make or break the whole reception. She had her date set in her mind when she was going to get married and the hall she’d feel in love with better have that date free just for her – and of course, Nick. But in all honestly it was mostly for her. The poor man wasn’t going to have a say in the matter – not a chance.
Heather didn’t care for all the wedding talk that seemed to be cascading out of Mary’s mouth like the Negara Falls over the past few weeks. She felt she was drowning in all that wedding nonsense. Blah, blah, blah. Savanna on the other hand would fuel the fire by asking a million and one questions. What colors are you going to have? Bridesmaid dresses, short or long? The flowers, live or fake? Reception - inside or outside? White or Ivory? The wedding date? The two would get going and then Mary would break out her 3” thick binder clearly labeled “Mary’s dream wedding” chucked full of magazine clipping, scribbled notes, pictures, online print offs, and catalogs – oh the catalogs. By that time, Heather would secretly creep out of the room, hoping they won’t notice. They never did.

Hope you enjoyed that little tid-bit. =o)
