Fourth of July 2012

Well we didn't spend the Forth of July like most people would do. We didn't go to any BBQ's, we didn't see any fireworks, but we did have lots of family fun together.

We started off the day by going to store. Hubby and I was working on a side job the weekend prior and needed to finish the bird bath area with some pea stones. We picked up a few bags at Home Depot then we were off to Salvation Army. They were having their half off clothes sale! Got Taylor some school clothes, shoes, and a  bookbag, some tanks and shorts for me, and hubby got some work pants. Before we went to check out, one of the ladies who worked there had this plastic doll house she was going to put into the toys area. Cloie spoted it right away and pointed at it. We asked the lady if she could look at it for a little bit, to see if she liked it. The lady was glad to, seeing Cloie's eyes just light right up. We ended up getting the doll house, which the girls played with it most of the day. $1.05 well spent there. =o)

So as hubby and I finished the bird bath area while the girls happily played with the doll house in the shade.

And hubby and I checked of this side job off our to-do list. =D Turned out pretty sharp, I think.

Well, it was noon by this time and in the low 90's. We went back home and ate lunch. The girls then played in a little tent hubby put up in the living room. They had blankets, stuff animals, and the doll house in there. They told me it was their clubhouse. =o)

Then after naps and chillin' inside the AC house, we ate dinner. After dinner we hoped into the pool. The pool water was soooo nice - bath water and half the pool was in the shade so I peacefully floated while the girls and hubby swam.

When we got out the air felt cold and the inside the house felt like a freezer. So by this time it was almost 7:30pm. The girls wanted to watch Marley and Me - The Puppy Years. They were having a great time watching the movie and eating popcorn. After that, they went to bed while hubby and I watched Horrible Bosses.

So we didn't go see any fireworks or BBQ's, but that's okay. We plan to go see fireworks on Saturday and we had tons of family fun and memories. =o)

Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Fourth of July!! =o)

We did!
