Well this past weekend we headed up north to East Tawas to visit the in-laws and camp with them! Fun times!
Hubby had a fire in the rain while the girls and I chilled in the van with the tailgate up, legs dangling. I laughed as he tended to his fire getting down poured on. That’s my hubby. He was having a fire ‘cause that’s what you do when you camp. XD
Anyways, Saturday we went to the farmer’s market, a garage sale where Cloie got a Dora (her favoritest character in the world right now), and visited the East Tawas State Park. At the East Tawas State Park by the lighthouse, there were activities, vendors, apple peeling, canon firing, stilt walking, and playground playing. =oD
Then for the girls being good at the event they were rewarded like good birdies with sour gummy worms! =D
Then after a light lunch of sandwiches and chips, it was off to the beach! Wooo hooo!! =D
Me and the mother-in-law chilled in chairs, having our legs and feet get splashed on by the Huron Lake waves, keeping us cool.
Cloie was all about the beach and sand.
Taylor was doing the “I’m sexy” run along the water front.
Then it was time for Taylor and dad to venture out into the water. =o)
While mommy relaxed and grandma Shari blew bubbles. =D
Then it was off to help Cloie make sand castles!
Finally I got another picture of Taylor. She had made a friend and was having fun in the water most of the time.
Family picture. =D
Grandpa Gary guarding the bubbles. =D
Our time ended with Cloie trying to put sand all over wet dad. =D
After dinner, we began our way back home. The kids were out 5 minutes after we hit the road, so for us it was a secret pit stop to get up north ice cream!
A weekend full of entertaining activities, great memories, and fun in the sun! =D
