Bruce & Jr.

SO this past week Jr has been having a buddy stay with us, Bruce. Bruce is a 6 month old Newfoundland puppy who shrinks Jr when they stand next to each other. But despite the size difference, Jr has stood his ground.

He has growled at Bruce if Bruce trys to be a pig and eat out of both food bowl dishes. Also Bruce isn't fixed so he's one horny gay dog. Every chance he gets to try to hump Jr he does. But Jr won't take any of that. He has flipped Bruce over and sat on his head. He also while run in front of Bruce, stop with his butt in Bruce's face like, "You want this?" and then Jr takes off bad out of heck, leaving Bruce in the dust.

And then there is the topic of Jr's hind bones. Jr doesn't care to share them and has tried many of times to steal them out of Bruce's mouth. And of course Bruce then tries to steal it back. It's quite entertaining to watch. =oD

And since Bruce isn't potty trained and now with the snow we got over the past day, we have used his HUGE cage to block off the dog room door way. It fits perfectly there. We leave the door open and it gives them that hamster peek hole. That too is quite entertaining to watch them voluntarily go into the cage, just so they can be a little bit closer to us.

Yes, that is Jr IN the cage, eating his bone. Yup, the dog that destroyed a cage so he could squeeze out of a hole no bigger than his head out so he could be free. Yup, walked into the cage to eat his bone.

 

We have kept Jr blocked in with Bruce because it seems Bruce is happier that way and at anytime Jr. has the capabilities to jump over the cage to get out, since he needs a "special" kennel at the boarding place (he jumped, climbed, something....over a 6 foot chain kennel). This 3 foot cage would be nothing for him to clear. But he hasn't escaped the door room yet NOR has destroyed anything for being blocked in either.
